NABREC has been established for the purpose of allowing former staff of the National Australia Bank to maintain relationships that have been built over many years during their working careers. The first meeting was held on 7th July, 1931.

Membership is open to all former NAB employees who served with the Bank for at least 15 years or with the founding banks, the National Bank of Australasia Limited (NBA) and The Commercial Banking Company of Sydney Limited (CBC Bank). Partners of former staff too, are most welcome to join.

Mostly we meet on the second Tuesday of each month (except January and July) at 11.15am at "The Arena", Ground floor, 700 Bourke Street, Docklands (Adjacent to Marvel Stadium) for our meeting and guest speaker.  Easy access by public transport directly opposite Southern Cross railway station. Guest speakers usually accompany the meeting for short interesting presentations.  Lucky door prizes.  Drinks with nibbles are served after the meeting (subject to any covid rules in place at the time).  Please check Breaking News and our Events page for the latest information about meetings.

BAMFORD, Elizabeth 'Bett' Jean (nee Milne) 02/06/1930 to 05/09/2023

Passed away at home.
Our deepest gratitude for all you shared across your 93 beautiful years of life. Doug's dear wife Bett, 71 happy years together.
Adored by her children Andrew, Julian and Fiona. Much loved Gran and Nanna to Tempe, Liberty, Jedda, James, Stephanie and Fraser, and a newly great-grandmother to Lily.

FUNERAL Details:
Bett's Funeral will be held at Myrtleford Lawn Cemetery, 380 Myrtleford-Yackandandah Road, Barwidgee at 12 noon on Friday 22 September.
A memorial service 'Celebrating Bett, Her Life' follows from 1pm at Myrtleford Golf Club, 251 Myrtleford-Yackandandah Road, Myrtleford.

PETRIE, Kenneth Sleeman (Ken) 20/03/1932 to 07/09/2023

Passed away at Epworth Eastern Hospital on September 7th 2023 after an extended battle with numerous health issues. Aged 91 years.

Loved and loving husband of Barbara(dec) and Lorna.

Loved father and father-in-law of Andrew and Cheryl-Anne, Rodney and Marg, Susan and Darren.

Proud of his eight Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.

Has been cremated privately at his request.

The Chapel Funeral for Mrs. Barbara Ann Barnes will be held at Herbert King Funerals, 364 Warrigal Rd, Ashburton, on Monday 4th September, 2023 at 10.00 am.

A private cremation will follow.

Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the service.
